Linseed

These tiny seeds are growing in popularity in complete foods and as supplements too. Linseed is known to have a number of benefits for the skin, digestion and even provides lignin antioxidants to support the immune system. 

Linseed is a great source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and linoleic acid (LA), both essential fatty acids that support skin and coat in dogs. Studies have shown that even a short 6-week trial with linseed can improve the shine and health of dogs’ coats. Here at Gilbertson & Page Ltd, many of our diets have linseed added to ensure dogs get a good balance of omega 6 and 3’s in every meal they eat.
